THE CHALLENGE

While civil servants are key to safeguarding children, many lack the necessary awareness, sensitivity, and skills to respond effectively. The challenge was to create a compelling and engaging digital learning experience that not only builds knowledge of child protection laws and systems, but also drives behaviour change by shifting attitudes and fostering a sense of accountability.

THE SOLUTION

Kaboom adopted a user-centric design approach—mapping civil servant personas to tailor the course’s tone, language, and format for maximum relevance and impact. Interactive storytelling grounded in everyday scenarios made the content relatable and memorable. To simplify complex legal and psychological concepts, Kaboom developed an intuitive visual language that ensured clarity without losing nuance. Participation was embedded throughout the course, requiring users to interact in order to progress.

Through immersive animations, case studies, and exercises, Kawach moves beyond a standard training module to serve as a behavioural change tool—fostering empathy, deepening legal understanding, and equipping civil servants to make informed, child-sensitive decisions.
