The “Stories of Resilience” campaign is a series of 100 films showcasing acts of courage from individuals across 16 Indian states. Ordinary people doing extraordinary things during COVID-19. These stories aim to inspire and encourage communities to embrace COVID-19 vaccination by highlighting real-life experiences and resilience.

THE CHALLENGE
Several changemakers came together to help people overcome vaccine hesitancy and misinformation in communities across India. The challenge was to capture these stories of everyday struggles, unseen challenges of common people rising to the occasion to save their community and in the process the country.

THE SOLUTION
The strategy focused on building a community of storytellers to build trust and counter misinformation. Real-life narratives of individuals who overcame vaccine hesitancy were amplified through digital and community-driven campaigns. By leveraging authentic voices and relatable experiences, the campaign aimed to create emotional connections, shift perceptions, and encourage vaccination.
80 amateur filmmakers were trained to bring forth stories from their own communities. These films were then released as part of a multimedia campaign that brought personal stories of resilience to the forefront. Through digital video content and community engagement, the campaign highlighted real individuals and their journeys. The initiative fostered trust, dispelled misinformation, and encouraged informed decision-making about vaccination.
