Stories of Resilience
COVID-19 was a survival challenge. The scale of the pandemic caused panic and disarray amongst governments and people alike. Despite the enormous challenges there were many who stood their ground. People who showed courage and resilience by finding solutions for their communities and with their communities.
We dedicate this page to such COVID-19 Heroes.
These are their stories.
Unicef India has partnered with Kaboom to build capacities of the local champions and create a series of video stories that showcase these acts of courage. We hope the stories from 16 states of India will promote the uptake of vaccination and create a COVID-appropriate behaviour because while the worst may be behind us, the virus continues to live.
This project is an effort to build a community of storytellers by providing them a platform to inspire, engage and educate through the stories of their own, from their own communities told in their own language.
Featured Stories
A virtual training session on storytelling and filmmaking is being organized to train 250 local champions from 16 states of India to build their capacities to identify stories and encourage them to express themselves and tell a story in their own way.
These videos are created by amateur filmmakers from different states, in the local language.
